The pergolas are made out of Santa Maria, a Belizean hardwood.









Each bay of windows and doors is recessed into the buildings.








Here is a perspective looking through
one of the openings in the privacy walls.






Here is that perspective in the late afternoon. Notice the change
in the color of the finish depending upon the angle of the sun.






Here is one of the hallways of The Phoenix, opened
up in order to let the breeze and light pass through.






The main staircase of Building D is meant to evoke the
grand entrances of Maya temples on the mainland of Belize
