The
Phoenix Pool Construction - 2 - Late December 2007
The
water in the upper portion of this pool will flow over an infinity
edge into the lower portion. Viewed from this perspective there
will be a beautiful waterfall running across the length of the
pool.
While
the pools and pool decks of The Phoenix are quite
spacious they were also designed to leave lots of room for
beautiful tropical landscaping in front of each residential building.
The
upper pool features two shallow areas of water
where chaise lounge chairs will be set up. Pictured here
is one of those areas that looks out over the Caribbean.
A staircase at the southeastern corner of the lower pool will
take
Phoenix guests from the lower deck level to the upper deck level.
Pictured
above is the shaded deck area being built along
the southern portion of the lower part of the main pool.
Here
are the Venetian-style steps that will lead Phoenix guests
from the area built for lounge chairs into the main swimming area.
The
foundation wall of the main pool's
pool deck was also recently completed.
Next,
our crew will fill the deck area with compacted sand. Then they
will hardscape the area between the outer walls and the pool's
edge.
The
pools and deck area of The Phoenix were designed
to offer Phoenix guests many distinctly different spaces
within one public space that blend together into a cohesive whole.
The
pools of The Phoenix also capture the spirit of the larger
resort's architecture, which is meant to create an aesthetically
pleasing environment ideal for relaxed living or vacationing.
