The
Phoenix Pool Construction - Early February 2008
Here
are the pools and property of
The Phoenix in early February 2008.
The lap pool of The Phoenix was recently tiled.
The
pool deck surrounding the lap
pool was also recently completed.
The
Phoenix will be the first resort in
San Pedro to offer two pools or a lap pool.
The
pools of The Phoenix are being tiled with a lighter shade
of blue on the walls and a deeper blue along the pool bottoms.
The
deck area features 4' by 4' cement squares made of white
cement mixed with yellow die and framed by lines of river stones.
When
construction is complete both the mosaic tile in the pools and
the deck area will be thoroughly cleaned and look more brilliant.
The tiling of the main pool has also recently begun.
This
picture captures the recently laid tile
along the main staircase of the upper pool.
Here
is the curved bench that will be 18" below water and
provide a place to relax half in the water and half out of the
water.
This
pictures focuses in on the large pool deck area on the north
side of the pool where most of the beach chairs will be set up.
Here
is an overhead perspective of the deck area between the bar
and the main pool. The darker colored squares are freshly poured.
When
the cement has dried each of
the squares will be the same cream color.
This
is the U-shaped sitting area that will provided a
shaded place to relax along the lower pool's southern side.
This
is the pool bar being built between the main pool and
lap pool. At left is a structure that will provide shade over
a U-shaped sitting area located at one end of the lap pool.
Our
construction crew is also rebuilding our sea wall. The wall is
being fortified on both sides and the height is being raised.
It will eventually
be finished with the same cream colored squares as the pool deck.
We
have also recently completed construction of a retaining
wall that runs the length of our property along the beachfront.
This
wall will provide security and protection from the elements.
We will also landscape lush greenery on both sides of this wall.
