The
sea wall in front of the property
of The Phoenix was recently rebuilt.
The new sea wall is higher, wider, and
stronger than the previous sea wall.
The
sea wall will better protect
the 300'+ of Phoenix beachfront.
The
sea wall was finished with textured sand-colored concrete
squares framed by lines of river stones set in sand-colored grout
lines.
The
finish of the sea wall mirrors the finish of the
pool decks being built on the property of The Phoenix.
The
sea wall was designed to be wide enough for pedestrians
and bicyclists to be able to pass each other comfortably.
Here
is the new sea wall and Building A of The
Phoenix viewed from the water in late March 2008.
The refurbished sea wall is a valuable investment that will bear
returns over time. It will protect The Phoenix against regular
beach erosion and storm surges connected to inclement weather.
